This Saturday at 11:30 am, we're talking about women and Strauss. Host Naomi Lewin will explore composer Richard Strauss's relationship to women through his many female opera characters, starting with Arabella and going all the way through to Elektra.

Many of his operas tackle the nature of marriage and relationships. As a result, many have wondered – and a few have speculated – about Strauss's personal relationships. There were rumors his wife was a terrible shrew who kept Strauss under her thumb. What did Strauss think of her? Find out all about Strauss, his women (real and imagined) on this next episode of Operavore.
